Each year, prior to the open of session of the General Assembly in Annapolis, the Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women (MLAW) conference is held to educate its members about upcoming legislation that may be of interest to women. This year, the turn-out was huge and the conference was thorough.
The legislation that was presented before the voters ranged from issues of personal safety to issues of economic equality. For a comprehensive list, please see the attached document. Many of these bills do not yet have filing numbers for the 2018 session, but the 2017 bill number can still be used to search the General Assembly website under the “Session” tab.
