Climate Wave Rally: MD is ALL IN for 100% Renewable Energy
A huge wave of change is coming amid a groundswell calling for serious climate action. Here in Maryland, that means the “Clean Energy Jobs Act” is geared up to pass this spring. We’re proud to have a supermajority of representatives in the Maryland legislature supporting this key clean energy bill, after hundreds made it an election issue this year.
Now, the Chesapeake Climate Action Network is bringing the wave of momentum to Annapolis. On the first day of the 2019 Maryland legislative session -- Wednesday, January 9 -- we’re riding this climate wave in a fun rally to support the Clean Energy Jobs Act, which would double the state’s renewable electricity standard by 2030 and get us on the path to 100% clean power by 2040. We’ll bring the inflatable surfboards. We need you there to show lawmakers that the climate wave is here!
