Vacancy Notice for CCDCC

The Calvert County Democratic Central Committee announces its immediate solicitation of candidates to add one full member and two associate members to the committee. The current vacancies are open to female or non-binary applicants. 

Candidates must be registered Democrats and reside in Calvert County. If you have any questions about the role of the Democratic Central Committee and what it means to serve as a full or associate member, please see our Frequently Asked Questions or reach out at info@calvertdemocrats.com.

To apply, please email a resume including the candidate’s address and contact information to info@calvertdemocrats.com. Please also indicate if you’d like to be considered for the full membership, associate membership, or both. Candidates may also apply by mailing the required documentation to PO Box 2063, Prince Frederick, MD 20678. 

The deadline to apply is 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Candidates will be required to be interviewed at a public meeting of the Calvert County Democratic Central Committee. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 7:00 pm, online via Zoom, and candidates will be provided the login information for the meeting. Candidates will be called in alphabetical order and provided two minutes to speak. Once the interviews have been completed, the Committee will enter into a closed session. Upon the conclusion of the closed session, a public vote will be held. The full membership position will be voted on first, followed by the vote to fill the two associate positions. The candidates who receive the most votes for each vacancy, will be selected.
